An exploit (discovered, tested, and used): It doesn’t work with lightbringer because for lightbringer the sacrifice is instant, but for Aries, since there is a delay between the destruction of the units and the buying of the skill, you can go into a level (not sure about formation editor), buy the skill, quickly hit the menu button, quit out to map, and close the app. When you reopen it, the 3 rank VII units are still there.
Not really a bug or exploit, but a problem I’m seeing: Aries and Lightbringer are both way too weak. Considering their high sacrifice and upgrade costs, their payoff is minimal. An average Nyon Exist does ~3K dmg/lvl. An average Korazon does ~7K dmg/lvl. An average Tesla does ~9K dmg/lvl. Yet Lightbringer does ~2K, and Aries only does ~1K. I think Korazon is fine. It only does that much damage because I use taunt a lot. But I definitely think Aries and Lightbringer need to be heavily buffed and maybe a nerf to Tesla. By average damage I mean the average damage of a fully upgraded unit.
Darkness Barrier issues: Darkness barrier is too expensive. With each upgrade alone costing more than 3x more to upgrade once than what is required to fully upgrade a Wall, it’s just terribly impractical. Along with Korazons being able to go right through them and a ton of enemies having wall-peircing shots (like the yellow guys on tesire), I can’t really see any practicality behind playing Darkness Barrier
Bug? Error? Not really sure if this is supposed to happen, but Valerian Orbs have an insanely high drop rate from Villalobos. When I was farming Zone One for Valerian, two of my three orbs dropped from one of Villalobos’s summoning turrets when he died. Not sure if this is supposed to happen but rares dropping from bosses is weird but cool.
Valerian Issues: Valerian is great. It’s problem is that it has an insane amount of issues. Issue 1: Its info box doesn’t give its damage, firerate, or range. Issue 2: Assuming it’s range is global (which is seems like it is, considering the no range listing), all my units should have their ranges buffed by +30. However, every single unit I have has no more than +25. I have 7 Chargors (fully upgraded) too. Issue 3: Global? range. Since I’m assuming it has to have global range, they way they attack make no sense. The second an enemy appears, they’re all supposed to attack it at the same time, as that’s how global range fundamentally works. Yet it seems like an enemy coming from the top of the screen isn’t targetted by the Valerian I have in the back of my base. Issue 4: Orb Upgrade costs are way too high. By my estimate, it would take over 100k gold to fully upgrade Valerian’s last ability, and that’s only a boost for a single unit. It doesn’t even do that much damage in the first place.
Infected drones are too hard: Even after hitting #1 in arena, beating the two bonus levels AND Zone One on Insane Difficulty without losing a unit, I can’t get a gold medal for Infected Drones. I tried it again with my exploited unit cap and 20 neg-voiders. Still can’t pass 5000 killed drones. Doesn’t seem to me like it’s possible for now. The unit cap just doesn’t allow for enough neg-voiders or dps to kill 10000 drones. Maybe reduce the amount needed for platinum? Or just weaken the drones a lot but increase the spawnrate? Thanks.
EDIT: I realized when I posted this that my difficulty was set up. When I put it back to normal, I was able to kill about 7000 drones (60 unit cap, 9 neg voiders).
